“Reading the Torah was important then; reading the Word of God is just as important now. For faith comes from knowing the Word says Paul in Romans 10:17. To know the Word is to know Jesus says John in John 1:1. So faith comes from knowing the word, and to know the word is to know Jesus because Jesus is the Word. For the first 5 books of the Bible, the Word of God, Moses has been making a case for the Israelites to choose God and choose life. Paul and John, want the same as Moses.”
