HAYLEY’S BIBLE BENDER:

The Bible bender for me in Deuteronomy 14-16 was the ending of the episode. Susan brought everything back around when she discussed the rhythm of life for Israel in relation to the Tabernacle.

She said, “3 times a year the Israelites are to appear before the Lord at the Tabernacle which will one day be a temple. They are to bring a gift to the Lord each time. And each of these feasts is a reminder of the holy rhythm of life in their year: their new life in the Promised Land.

Where God will provide food and rest in 7s:

  • On the 7th day each week
  • in the annual festivals celebrated for 7 days
  • and in the 7th year

Because when God created the world, he did it in 6 days and rested on the 7th.

  • the Promised Land is a step closer to the Garden of Eden
  • where they will get rest they never had in Egypt
  • where God will provide for them as they did in the Garden if they will trust and obey him.”

What was your Bible bender from Deuteronomy 14? Did you learn anything new?
